Rant on Demand

Well, I never have been good at ranting on demand. Actually I've never tried it. But Sam has not posted yet his reply to my last rant, so, I will just have to come up with another one. I do not yet know what it will be about, but I will just go to the dairy with that nice young Indian chap, and his lucid fiancée.

Well, I just went for my walk, which actually lasted an hour, but I haven't thought of anything to rant about. But a few interesting things happened, and although it belongs in my personal blog, I will post it here instead, in lieu of a rant.

Well I was walking down Cambridge Terrace to Waterloo Station, and I was saying 'd'evening (good evening) to everyone who I saw. There was actually a remarkable amount of people sitting outside their houses, I suppose, enjoying a rare warm Wellington night as it is normally cold and windy. Anyway I sad 'hi' to a Maori woman who then asked me for a cigarette. I gave her one, and then she asked me for a lighter, so I reached over the fence to light her cigarette, which was the wrong way around so I asked her to correct it.

Her son then saw me and he was like "hi Vincent!" and I recognised Sam Kaka who was now wearing dreadlocks. He had short hair last time I saw him. So I did the old Maori hand greeting with him, and he told his Mum: "Vincents a good boy he is", and I just managed to withold a chuckle. His Mother asked me for another cigarette "for later" so I gave her my last one and asked her to put the packet in the rubbish bin.

I then continued walking to Waterloo Station, went under the subway and then down Knights Road where the dairy I mentioned earlier is located. I went in and bought a Rasberry V (which is a new flavour), a pie, and two packs of cigarettes. I chatted with the dairy owners for a couple of minutes as I waited for my pie to be microwaved. I found out that this young couple (now married) had bought the dairy from the old owner, who I had previously assumed to be the young man's Father.

I walked back to Waterloo Station, going through the underbridge before sitting down at the bus stop (it's a train station) on Cambridge Terrace to eat my pie. I then had some of the V and walked across the road to go down Trafalgar Street to try taking a different route home.

It was about a minute before I walked past a house that looked familiar. Stopping to have a better look at it, I realised that it was Nami's Aunty's home. Checking to see if it had the side door that I remembered escorting Nami to in the rain, holding her umbrella for her, my rusings were confirmed. A few memories came back to me before I jerked myself away and continued to walk down Trafalgar Street which joined up with Waiwhetu Road.

As I was walking down Waiwhetu Road, a police car passed me, and I thought nothing of it. A few moments later, another police car came from the other direction, slowing down as it passed me before driving off again. I started thinking a bit, and then two police cars came from the same direction (opposite side of the road from me) and stopped just in front of me. Four police then hopped out and started crossing the road quickly towards me. Then I was slightly worried. I said d'evening to the officer closest to me, who grunted his reply before walking right past me. Yes, I was relieved.

I then continued down Waiwhetu Road and arrived home safely.

Well, no rant, but yet another short story to go down the annals of unknown history...

NB for Sam:
Try surrounding your paragraphs like so:

This will stop your text from becoming jumbled up as in all your other posts.

Yeah

Yes that is true..... Does 9-12 cups of coffee + 3-5 beers a day count for the 8 cups of water? I never eat fruit. That is probably why my skin is so dry (and why I get dandruff).
